TINT Arts Lab
June 8th, 2010
I’m happy to announce that the arts lab, a project I’m deeply involved with, runs its first season from today. Visit it here http://lab.tintarts.org or learn more about it in this press release.
“We’re delighted to announce that the arts lab has opened its doors ready to run its first season. Please join our residents Glittermouse, Aaron Oldenburg, Stuart Dunbar, Jody Zellen, Lossless Processing + Error, Eleana Louka, Lauren McCarthy, and Andrew Norman Wilson in their open ended journey towards a new piece of work.
The TINT Arts Lab is a plattform that offers the invited artists a space to present a new project in the form of a self contained blog. Its motivation is to foster an open and public discussion of the projects concept, context, development, presentation, and documentation between the artists, a core team of commentators and the interested media arts community.
Nevertheless, born out of curiosity it shall remain an open plattform in constant change. A probe that will help to learn more about media arts and its motivations, modes of production, documentation, and reception in an age of crowd-sourced networked complexity.
Please visit the artists residencies and take part in the discussion if you like. Don’t shy away to contribute with questions, comments, critique, or advise. Critical but fair feedback to the artist’s projects and the arts lab in general is highly appreciated. The arts lab is in its first season and we see it in a beta phase. The rules of interactions are not set in stone and you can actively influence the outcome of each residence.
Feel free to contact us at lab@tintarts.org if you’ve got questions or feedback about the arts lab.
The TINT team“
